Rare early Miniature pair of Old Squaw decoys by Oliver Lawson (1938- ), Crisfield, Maryland. This pair is part of the famous Duck House Rumbley, MD carvings with the paper labels from the Duck House, Rumbley, Maryland on the underside. Signed and dated 1956. Balsa bodies with slightly turned heads measuring 7.5” and 7”. The paint is stunning and Lawson at his best. Very rare and hard to find pair for the serious Lawson collector.

Oliver Lawson began carving as a boy under the mentorship of the Ward Brothers in Crisfield, Maryland. The Ward Foundation honored him with the 2018 Living Legend Award.
